We are leading the national Zero Childhood Cancer personalised medicine program for children with the most aggressive cancers, in partnership with the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. We currently have an opportunity for a Supporter Care Officer to join our team for a full time fixed term 6 month contract with the potential to extend commencing at the end of February 2019. This role is responsible for effectively and efficiently processing donations from all sources, processing returned mail, handling varied requests for information and general database maintenance. It is a great role for somone who is passionate about our cause and wants to be part of the team bringing us one step closer towards finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Processing all types of donations and amendments to Raiser’s Edge database by following agreed Standard Operating Procedures to reconcile monies received from supporters.
  • Receipt and/or acknowledging all types of donations and inform key stakeholders of any significant donations/activities.
  • Administering daily, weekly and monthly integrity checks within the database. Responsibility for accurate data entry of supporter profile and actions/discussions ensuring excellence of data integrity.
  • Ensuring fast and appropriate responses and tracking of all enquiries and complaints
  • Responding to queries from existing donors by phone, email, fax or mail, regarding both their support of Children’s Cancer Institute and informing them about our organisation and fundraising objectives.
  • Administering regular giving donors’ declines calling campaign – Daily outbound calling to monthly donors whose payments have declined.
Qualifications, experience and skills required:
  • Microsoft Word and Excel - Intermediate
  • Proven employment experience in a supporter care/ customer service/support role
  • A clear, pleasant, professional and confident telephone manner
  • An ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage your own workload
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge database preferred
